FTW 295 - Ft. Wainwright Family Housing Replacement

This contract involved a turn-key environmental project encompassing consulting, remediation, and demolition services at Ft. Wainwright Alaska.  The project required the removal of all hazardous materials from twelve, eight-plex buildings and associated utilidors where new mechanical installation was required.  The design-build process allowed Satori to provide additions or deletions to specifications prior to authoring the Hazardous Materials Work Plan (HMWP) and the Site Safety and Health Plan (SSHP). Ft. Richardson Groundwater Monitoring

Satori developed a Quality Assurance Program Plan (QAPP), Sampling and Analysis Plan (SAP), and Site Safety Health and Safety Plan (SSHP) prior to conducting Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Low-Flow Sampling of 46 groundwater monitoring wells located throughout Fort Richardson.  Our plans were approved by the United State Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) prior to executing the work.

Satori sampled monitored wells for known Contaminants of Concern (CoCs) for each operable unit to include petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and various metals.  Continuous field parameter monitoring included pH temperature, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, and turbidity.  Satori evaluated natural attenuation using field parameters with laboratory analytical results for methane, ethane, and nitrate.
